About Laura

Laura Kennington is a British adventure athlete, author, and speaker with an unshakable curiosity about what the human body and spirit can achieve.

From solo kayaking a section of Russia’s Volga River to solo cycling the length of Ireland’s 1,600-mile Wild Atlantic Way, Laura’s adventures are a celebration of endurance and courage. She’s run 100 miles across the island of Fuerteventura in just four days, circumnavigated three of the Channel Islands using three different sports, and tackled Scotland’s legendary North Coast 500 route on two wheels. Her most ambitious journey to date - a solo 3,700-mile cycle along the North Sea coastline through eight countries, from the rugged hills of Scotland to the fjords of Norway - embodies her belief that adventure is as much about mindset as mileage.

Growing up as the only female sibling on a Suffolk farm, Laura’s sense of adventure began early - chasing muddy trails with her loyal dog, Hobo (a white alsation). Laura developed a love for the outdoors and a stubborn curiosity that would later fuel years of solo, self-supported adventures. After a short stint in a corporate job she hated so much she’d rather cliff-dive than return to the office (which she did), she retrained as a personal trainer and began exploring how the body and mind cope under pressure. Since then, Laura has carved out a life centred on challenge, purpose and growth.

She now channels that curiosity into purpose-driven adventure, using her experiences on road, trail, and sea to inspire others to embrace resilience, courage, and confidence

Through every journey and every story, she aims to spark a sense of possibility, driven by a simple belief: we're capable of far more than we believe and action comes before readiness.
